HATTIESBURG, MS (WLOX) - As donations continue to pour into a day-long tornado recovery telethon in the Pine Belt, even celebrities are pitching in to help.
Former WLOX anchor Robin Roberts, who now anchors Good Morning America, donated $25,000 to help with tornado relief. Robin is from South Mississippi, and still has family living in the area.
"Efforts to repair and rebuild are already underway, but there is so much more to do. I know firsthand of your strength, your courage, and resilience. It takes courage to believe the best is yet to come and better days are ahead just like today," Roberts said.
