BILOXI, MS (Biloxi Shuckers) - The Milwaukee Brewers and Biloxi Shuckers have announced the 2017 Shuckers field staff, with Mike Guerrero returning as the club's manager for a second season.
Guerrero will be joined by his brother, Sandy, as the hitting coach. Chris Hook is back in Biloxi for their third straight season in Biloxi along with Sandy.
Biloxi will also feature Chuckie Caufield, who begins his fifth season as a coach in the Brewers' organization and first with the Shuckers.
"I'm really happy to be back in Biloxi for another season and part of a great coaching staff," Guerrero said. "MGM Park is one of the best ballparks in Minor League Baseball and the fans are outstanding."
Kevan Creighton will be the Shuckers athletic trainer after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant athletic trainer and massage therapist with the Brewers.
Strength and conditioning specialist Nate Dine returns for his third season with the Shuckers.
Biloxi opens the 2017 Southern League schedule Thursday, April 6, at Montgomery. The Shuckers' first home game will be Wednesday, April 12, against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
