WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) - Police in Waveland now have two people in custody in connection with a robbery.
According to officials, the Taco Bell on Highway 90 was robbed sometime Thursday morning. The suspects fled the scene by car, heading east on Highway 90.
On Jan. 27, police executed a search warrant at The Gates of Coral Bay Apartment complex. In addition to recovering the the gun used in the robbery, 43-year-old Retonya Bogan (also known as Retonya Johnson) and her husband, 45-year-old Eric Johnson, were arrested. Bogan is a former employee of the restaurant.
Additionally, the gun found in the apartment was previously reported as stolen from a local jurisdiction.
Bogan has been charged with armed robbery, and her husband has been charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Both suspects are being held at the Hancock County Jail, pending a court appearance.
