Gulfport police have arrested the man they believe robbed a woman at knifepoint after crawling through a window at her home late Monday night.

Sgt. Joshua Bromen said Ray Devon Fairley, 26, was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed robbery. Police are still working to identify a second suspect in the case.

Police said the robbery happened at a home in the 1200 block of 2nd St. around 10:30 p.m. The homeowner reported a man crawled through a window and took her purse at knifepoint.

Two suspects were caught on surveillance video running from the scene.

Bromen said investigators developed Fairley as a suspect, and he was arrested on 17th Ave. without incident. He remains behind bars at the Harrison County jail on a $1 million bond.

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have information to come forward. If you have information that could help investigators, please call the police department at 228-868-5959 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
