WASHINGTON, DC (WLOX) - U.S. Senator Roger Wicker says President-elect Trump could not have picked a better person for the job of Secretary of Defense than Gen. James Mattis.
As a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Mississippi senator questioned Mattis at his Thursday confirmation hearing. Wicker specifically asked the former Marine Corps General about the important strategic relationship between the United States and Israel.
