(RNN) – Before the next feeding time, pet owners should check their pantries for cat food that is now being recalled.

The J.M. Smucker Company is recalling some flavors of 9Lives, Ever Pet and Special Kitty brand canned cat food due to possible low levels of thiamine. The recall is voluntary.

According to the FDA, cats with diets low in thiamine can develop a deficiency, which can lead to symptoms like decreased appetite, vomiting and weight loss.

Neurological problems can develop, including wobbly walking, falling and seizures, the FDA reported.

The recall includes various sizes of 9Lives flavors including Meaty Pate Chicken and Tuna, Meaty Pate Seafood Platter, Meaty Pate Super Supper, Meaty Pate with Chicken and Seafood, Meaty Pate with Chicken Dinner, Meaty Pate with Liver and Chicken, Meaty Pate with Ocean Whitefish and the Seafood Poultry Variety Pack.

The recall also includes Special Kitty flavors Beef and Liver Dinner, Classic Tuna Dinner, Mixed Grill Dinner (with and without printed wrap) and Super Supper as well as the 13-ounce EverPet Mixed Grill Dinner.

The products were distributed between Dec. 20, 2016 to Jan. 3, 2017.

A full list of UPC codes from recalled packages can be found at: http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm535382.htm.

The company urges pet owners to stop feeding food from the recalled lots to their pets and call 1-800-828-998- or contact them at consumer.relations@jmsmucker.com.
