GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Due to current weather conditions, city officials have canceled the final night of Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival show.

According to city spokesperson Chris Vignes, the season ended on a high note; surpassing the goal of 60,000 visitors.

Vignes noted, "Our City of Gulfport staff will take a small break and will begin quickly into the strategic planning of 2017. We are always making notes and looking into ways to improve and growing this incredible family experience. All of this made possible through the generous collaboration with Island View Resort & Casino, Coast Transit Authority and countless community partners."
