GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

You just opened the last Christmas present Santa left under your tree. The family ate a delicious holiday feast. You're ready to get your house organized again. Step one is to put away those family treasures you hang on your tree. Step two is to recycle that tree.

Harrison County's beautification commission already has tree recycling stations set up along the coast. You'll find a place to drop off your tree and have it recycled at the following locations:

Rodenburg Avenue and Highway 90 in Biloxi; Courthouse Road parking lot in Gulfport; Mississippi Power Plant Watson in Gulfport; Long Beach Harbor; Pass Christian Harbor.

The Harrison County Tree Recycling Program begins December 26. You can drop off trees until January 15. For questions, contact Kelly Griffin at (228) 214-1405, or email her at kelly.griffin@co.harrison.ms.us
