Moss Point firefighter killed in fatal motorcycle crash

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in Jackson County. The crash happened at 9 p.m. on Highway 57 in front of the SunPlex. 

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Lucas S. Morace of Ocean Springs was killed instantly. Morace, 35, was a firefighter with Moss Point Fire Department. 

Authorities say Morace was driving his black 1981 motorcycle southbound on the highway when he crashed into a blue 1990 Ford F-250 that was pulling out of Sunplex Drive. 

MHP says they are still investigating the accident and are unsure at this time whether any charges will be filed.
