HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down Tuesday along the Harrison/Hancock County line. It happened around 3:21 Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday morning, NWS meteorologists surveyed the area along Bell Creek Road and found light tree and structure damage. They said the tornado was on the ground for 4.3 miles, and cut a path of destruction 20 yards wide. They estimate the winds reached 75 mph, based on the damage.
Video posted to Facebook shortly after the system moved through Hancock County shows the same storm when it was over Cuevas Town Road, north of the Kiln. The video shows what appears to be a funnel cloud.
There were no injuries or serious damage associated with the tornado.
