BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - St. Stanislaus quarterback Myles Brennan was pleased when he learned that Florida Atlantic University had hired Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin to become the teams new head coach.
"For sure, yeah," said Brennan.
If LSU had hired Kiffin, there was a strong possibility Brennan would have definitely ruled out LSU.
Brennan, who is still committed to the Tigers, but considering other options said, "It wasn't really anything I have against Kiffin, it's the type of offense they play in. I want to play in an offense that fits my style."
Myles said he's still going to wait on coach Ed Orgeron, to see what direction he takes with the LSU offense.
"I'm still waiting to see how LSU plays out with everything that is going on, "said Brennan. "I know the process is crazy, but I'm just taking it a day at a time and trying to enjoy it. High school is coming to an end and the February signing date is coming closer. So, that's how I'm taking it."
Reports out of Baton Rouge say LSU will interview Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Tuesday. So, how much does Brennan know about Canada and the type of offense he runs?
"I really don't, "stated Brennan. "I'm going to do my research. What I do know is Pittsburgh does throw the ball a little bit."
Brennan added that Pittsburgh did show interest in him early on in the recruiting process. If LSU was to hire Canada would that be a positive hire for Brennan?
"That would be a great fit!"
