HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A fire early Sunday morning has left a Coast home in ashes.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan says a deputy was patrolling the area around 2 a.m. when he noticed smoke coming from the roof of the home, which is located at the corner of Joe Windham Road and Saucier-Lizana Road. 

According to Sullivan, no was no one inside when the fire began. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.

The roof of the single-story home collapsed, leaving the structure destroyed.
