Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic returns March 30-April 2 at Fallen Oak

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Frank Bertucci, Chairman of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic Foundation, says he's excited to see the tournament continue as an official event on the PGA TOUR Champions event, one of 26 Charles Schwab Cup tournaments.

"The PGA TOUR Champions players always enjoy coming to the Mississippi Gulf Coast with a its great food, fans and hospitality, "said Bertucci.  "This tournament is a great opportunity for our community to showcase the outstanding assets on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  We continue to strive to make this tournament one of the most favorite stops by the PGA Tour Champions players on the annual schedule."

Tickets are $15 and will go on sale after the first of the year and can be purchased online at www.2017MGRC.com or by calling the tournament office at (228) 896-6365.

Children 16 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult and all active and retired military and their families are admitted free with a military issued identification card.

The C Spire Pro-am at Fallen Oak is set for Thursday, March 30 with tee times beginning at approximately at 7:00 a.m.

The first round of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic will tee-off at 10:00 a.m.on Friday, March 31.  The Golf Channel Broadcast will be aired on a tape delay basis beginning 8:30-10:30 p.m.

The second round will begin Saturday, April 1 at approximately 9:00 a.m.  The Golf Channel Broadcast will air live from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  The Junior Clinic held at the Driving Range is set for 3:30 p.m.

The final round of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic at Fallen Oak should begin Sunday at 9:00 a.m.  The Golf Channel will broadcast live from 2:00-4:00.  The Awards Presentation will be held immediately following conclusion of play on the 18th green.
