Gulfport man charged with shooting into a dwelling

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly firing a gun at a woman's house on Monterey Dr.

Sgt. Joshua Bromen, spokesman for the Gulfport Police Department, said Jarvus Jaquel Jackson, 19, is charged with shooting into a dwelling.

Bromen said officers responded to the call around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, and the homeowner told officers her house had been hit by gunfire.

Investigators determined Jackson was the man who pulled the trigger, according to Bromen, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Jackson was arrested Saturday on 45th Ave. He remains behind bars at the Harrison County jail on a $350,000 bond.
