GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Service clients now have a new resource when seeking appropriate work clothes.
Carla's Closet at the Gulfport MDRS location will now provide clothing, shoes, and accessories directly to those who are transitioning into the work force and may not have the appropriate attire for interviews and professional meetings.
Carla's Closet was named after Carla Drummond, an MDRS employee who passed away from breast cancer in 2013.
"As an agency, we can purchase these things, but sometimes that can take a day or two, and you have employees that are ready to go to work immediately, so we can actually step in and help them find some clothes," said Regional Manager Kevin Bishop.
Carla's Closet is currently accepting donations. If you would like to help, you can bring any donations to the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation services. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
