USS Ramage returns to Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Residents are invited to welcome 300 sailors serving aboard USS Ramage as the ship sails into Pascagoula for overhaul and modernization work on Nov. 21.

Ingalls employees will hand out American flags at the Point on the west end of Pascagoula's Beach Boulevard at 7 a.m.. The ship is expected to arrive sometime shortly after. 

DDG 61 was built at Ingalls and delivered the Navy in 1995. According to a press release, the ship was "part of an eight-month deployment of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group to combat ISIS in Syria and Iraq in July."
