Mississippi State women's basketball coach Vic Schaefer has built the Lady Bulldogs into one of the elite teams in the nation, ranked No. 10.
Local fans should be excited to watch MSU when the Lady Bulldogs battle Tulane in the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Former Harrison Central standout Jazzmun Holmes and former West Harrison standout Ameshya Williams will be wearing Maroon and White.
Holmes, a sophomore, has averaged 7 points in the season's opening two games. She bagged 12 points and had five assists against Villanova in the season opener. Holmes added four assists in Saturday's victory against Maine.
If you want to watch one of the top players in the nation, you'll get that opportunity when Victoria Vivians headlines the MSU attack. Vivians led the Lady Bulldogs with 26 first-half points in a win Maine Black Bears at the Maine Tipoff Tournament.
MSU head coach Vic Schaefer said, "We are excited to be coming to Biloxi on Wednesday to play a very good Tulane Team. We have a large alumni base in the area, so we are very excited to have the opportunity to bring out Top 10 basketball team to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. We are hoping they show up and show out. We also have two kids from the area in Jazzmun Holmes and Ameshya Williams that are excited about playing back on the coast."
