JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Traffic on the interstate is moving slowly after four separate wrecks in Jackson County on Sunday afternoon.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, the first wreck happened on the Pascagoula River Bride shortly before noon when a white Ford Explorer rolled over. There were no injuries but it did halt traffic while officials worked to clear the scene.
Officials say as they were clearing the scene of that wreck, a separate crash happened at mile marker 62. Two vehicles were involved and one person suffered a minor injury. A third two-vehicle wreck happened shortly after at mile marker 64. No injuries were reported with either of those accidents.
The fourth wreck happened shortly after 1 p.m. at exit 61. According to Gautier Police Department, there were two vehicles involved, causing further delays in traffic.
All four crashes were in the eastbound lanes and have now been cleared. Traffic is now moving, say officials, although it is doing so slowly at this time.
