VANCLEAVE, MS (WLOX) - A Vancleave man has been sentenced to prison for stealing government money.
According to a press released from the Department of Justice, 46-year-old Ricky Wade Perry told the Social Security Administration that was unable to work from July 2009 - March 2015.
However, it was determined that Perry did not disclose that he was working in the truck driving business during that time. During the nearly six year period, Perry accepted $105,702.90 in disability payments.
In addition to repaying the full amount, Perry was sentenced to five months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
