OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

A new addition to downtown Ocean Springs is coming in the form of artisan ice pops. The Gulfport based Pop Brothers is expanding its business, and the owners say they owe it all to the dedication of their customers.

"When we do events, we get asked all the time, ‘When are you coming to Ocean Springs?” So, here we are. We're ready," said Shannon Arzola.

The business hasn't even been open for two years, and it already has a cult following for specialty ice pops. Ocean Springs will be the first expansion for owners Octavio and Shannon Arzola.

"We want to be a place similar to our shop at Gulfport where people just come together, relax. Moms can relax and have their kids running around," said Octavio.

The quaint blue building at the corner of Government St. and Cash Alley is owned by neighboring tattoo parlor Twisted Anchor. For the Arzolas, it's a perfect spot to meet their needs, since production will still be out of the Gulfport location.

"This location here will start as a walk up. Customers will come to the window and make their selections," said Octavio.

As they prepare for this weekend's Peter Anderson Festival, which they hope is also their grand opening, the Arzolas are also preparing for their episode of “Billion Dollar Buyer.” Shannon said they're grateful for a customer who recommended them for the show similar to “Shark Tank.”

They shot their episode months ago, but are not yet at liberty to talk about the outcome. They plan to have a watch party in downtown Gulfport on Dec. 13 when the episode airs.

"It was extremely difficult and very exciting at the same time to film the whole show, and we are really just looking forward to Dec. 13 to see what happens," said Octavio.

Pop Brothers is also expanding to the west, with a location opening soon in Bay St. Louis.
