ST. MARTIN, MS (WLOX) - A St. Martin woman in intensive care following a high-speed chase will have a new job when she fully recovers.
Brittany Berry's mom told WLOX News Now that her daughter received a bouquet of flowers Thursday, and the attached card read: "Brittany, we were certainly sorry to hear about your accident. Please focus on your recovery, and know that we have a position available for you when you feel well enough to start. Congratulations on your new job! From Patio 44."
Berry had just interviewed for a waitress job at the new downtown Biloxi restaurant Monday when her car was t-boned at a D'Iberville intersection. She was supposed to have a follow-up interview on Tuesday.
When she received the good news from the restaurant, Berry smiled from her hospital bed.
Berry's mom also says that her daughter's former workplace, Papa John's in D'Iberville, delivered flowers and a pizza to the family at the hospital.
Papa John's will also hold a fundraiser for the family on November 1.
