BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A Sunday afternoon traffic stop not only landed two people behind bars, it led to the discovery of drugs.
Biloxi police say MarieJulie Fontillas Fikes and Porter Ray Whitehead were arrested following a traffic stop near Benachi and Bayview avenues. Upon being arrested, police found methamphetamine hidden in the vehicle.
Whitehead and Fikes were both charged with possession of a controlled substance, and are being held on a $25,000 bond each at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
If convicted, both face a $250,000 fine, and up to 20 years in prison.
