HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Harrison County jury just found Henry Earl Harvey guilty of first degree murder. His sentencing date is set for Dec. 12.

The jury agreed with prosecutors, who claimed Harvey shot and killed Eddie Briggs. That January 2015 shooting was near building M of the Emerald Pines apartments on 39th Ave. in Gulfport.

Police said Briggs and Harvey, 23, got into a fight. During the argument, investigators said Harvey pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.

At that point, police say Harvey ran into the woods. Police patrols and a K9 captured him a short time later.
