Coast Man Will Stay Behind Bars

A coast man will have to spend all thirty years of his jail sentence behind bars. The Mississippi supreme court has ruled that Milton Lee Bell will not be eligible for parole, despite claims by Bell his punishment is excessive. He was convicted by a Harrison County jury of sexually assaulting his six year old niece.

The court ruled that because of the child's age, there was justification for the harsh sentence. Justices also said there was sufficient evidence presented at Bell's trial for the conviction to stand.
