GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A man from Beaumont, MS took his ex-girlfriend to Memorial Hospital after allegedly kidnapping and raping her Wednesday, according to Gulfport police. Odelle Scott, 33, was arrested in the parking lot of the hospital without incident.

Gulfport Police Department spokesman Sgt. Joshua Bromen said the victim told investigators Scott held her at gunpoint and forced her into a home in the 3000 block of 54th Ave. Bromen said Scott then physically assaulted and raped the woman.

After the alleged assault, Scott reportedly drove the woman to the hospital. That’s when she called police.

Scott is being held at the Harrison County jail on a $500,000 bond for the kidnapping and rape charges. Bromen said he is also being held without bond for a parole violation warrant through the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
