I don't know who first said, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression," but it's a good point, not just for people, but also for places, cities, and regions. When we take pride in the cleanliness of streets and highways, we make a good impression whether it's the first impression or ongoing impressions.
We applaud the efforts of the city of D'Iberville this week as it kicked off an anti-littering and clean-up campaign. D'Iberville is promoting an environment of pride for residents and visitors alike.
We should all take pride and help keep our communities clean and free of litter for not only that first impression, but also that last impression for those who visit our communities.
