Harrison Central loses power on campus Tuesday

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A power transformer problem outside Harrison Central High School left a portion of campus without power for about an hour Tuesday morning.

Superintendent Roy Gill said there was an electricity arch on a transformer on the north side of campus near the ROTC building. Mississippi Power crews and school maintenance were called to assess the damage and make repairs.

Gill said classes continued during the power outage and lunch service went on as scheduled because the cafeteria staff had food prepared before the power went out.
