GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

The family of a missing Mississippi woman is holding onto hope that she will be found alive. Loved ones of Tammyetta Spaulding gathered Sunday night at the Courthouse Road Pier for a prayer vigil.

Spaulding has now been missing for one month. She is from Moss Point but was living in Jackson, MS when she went missing. The last person to talk to her was her father. She told him she was at work, but they later determined that was untrue.

"I still believe we're going to find her alive and well, and that's all I can say," said James Spaulding. "I just keep praying."

Spaulding's car was found abandoned a few days after she was last heard from. Family members have posted fliers and taken their search to social media.

Jackson police agencies are asking anyone who may have seen Tammyetta recently or knows anything about this case to call them.
