Suspect in alleged Gautier domestic violence incident runs into woods before capture

GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) -

Police have blocked an area between Hickory Hills and Grand View in Gautier after responding to a domestic violence call Wednesday afternoon. 

According to officials, the suspect ran into the woods with a weapon and threatened to fire shots. The suspect was later captured. 

City manager Paula Yancey told WLOX News Now that she is not aware of any shots being fired at this time. 

The area is closed for public safety, WLOX is working to learn more about the incident.
