HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Hancock County fairgrounds are busy this week for the 4th annual fair. Wednesday was opening day, but it was also Christian night. It's a night dedicated to Christian music.
As we found out, event organizers said it's one of the ways they offer good, clean family fun.
Uplifting music filled the air at the Hancock County fairgrounds. Each performer played a variety of Christian songs, but all offered up praise to God.
"It's very family friendly. Jesus died for us, so we should spread his word," Breann Hayes said
Praise teams and families from all over say a Christian event like this is much needed.
"Hancock County can come together for one night and just unite as the Body of Christ. We can unite and see people maybe we haven't seen in a long time and just come together," said Justus Froman.
"I think it just spreads more love and talks about God more and gets the word out there," said Emma Froman.
The four-day event also offers arts and crafts, vendors, a rodeo, carriage rides, carnival rides, and plenty of food.
The fair wraps up on Saturday. Admission is free on Thursday. However, the cost to get in on Friday is $5 and $10 on Saturday. Children 12 and under get in free.
