GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

The Gulfport Police Department is asking for help finding a suspect accused of shooting a man to death Tuesday night on Monterey Dr.

Department spokesman Sgt. Damon McDaniel said Deandre Dashawn-Antonio Ball, 19, is wanted for the murder of Trevues Martin.

McDaniel said investigators still do not know what led to the fatal shooting.

Officers responded to the scene in front of a home in the 3900 block of Monterey Dr. around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, where they found Martin dead in the front seat of a vehicle.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said Martin was shot in the head.

Roads near Highway 90 and Highway 63 in Pascagoula opened this morning. Police removed barricades at 3:15 a.m. after experts determined a chemical leak no longer posed a threat. Emergency teams determined an empty rail car was the source of that leak. They tell WLOX News Now they contacted Chevron officials to make the necessary repairs.
