Remember when the threat of "don't make me call your mother" struck fear and caused you to straighten up. A woman recently used a modern day version of that method to find out who used her stolen identity to steal money and even post bail for someone she didn't know.
When the suspect jumped bail and didn't show up for court, she was called. She then turned the tables and used the bail jumper's name, Facebook friended his family and posted all the bad stuff, he and his ID theft co-conspirators had done to her.
That brought the bail jumper out, begging for her to remove that information because his mother didn't even know he had been in jail. She eventually got the ID thieves names and they landed in jail.
So as we continuously deal with people who don't live up to expectations, we should never underestimate the power of calling someone's mother.
