HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Last Wednesday, we told you about a woman wanted in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in a Harrison County church parking lot. Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson just told us Jennifer Jeanne Saucedo was arrested the day after we ran that story.
Peterson said the burglaries happened outside Holy Family Parish in Long Beach and St. Vincent Depaul Church in Pass Christian.
The sheriff said the woman was caught on surveillance video pulling on handles of several vehicles and breaking the window of another. The cameras also captured an SUV on tape, and that's what led investigators to Saucedo.
Peterson said deputies stopped the suspect vehicle from the burglaries, which was registered to the 39-year-old, and found several stolen items from the church burglaries.
Peterson said deputies also found other items that had not yet been reported stolen, and investigators found narcotics in her home.
Saucedo was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle. Her bond was set at $30,000 for that charge, but Peterson said she is being held at the Harrison County jail without bond for Hancock County on the narcotics charge.
