It's Week 4 of the Friday Night Football Showdown

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Many LSU football fans are interested in watching future Tiger Myles Brennan.  The Rockachaws quarterback leads St. Stanislaus (3-0) against Brother Martin (1-0) tonight at 7:00 at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans.

Last year the Crusaders dominated St. Stanislaus by the score of 68-21.  The Rockachaws avenged a loss to St. Paul's of Mobile in week 2 of the high school football season and hope to do the same against the highly talented Crusaders.

Brennan is on the verge of setting a new Mississippi all-time passing yards record.  He needs 372 yards to surpass former St. Stanislaus quarterback Dylan Favre.  Brennan has passed for 1,032 yards and 12 touchdowns this season giving him 12,188 career passing yards.

The St. Stanislaus-Brother Martin clash will be one of the featured games on the Friday Night Football Showdown beginning at 10:15 p.m. on WLOX ABC-CBS.

The George County Rebels opened the season with impressive wins over Gautier and Greene County.  Last Friday the Rebels traveled to Petal and dropped a 42-30 decision.

Tonight the Rebels are back on the road, a showdown at Pascagoula.  George County senior quarterback LaRaymond Spivery has been throwing darts at the opposition.  Spivery has completed 73 percent of his passes for 1,235 yards and 10 touchdowns.  He also leads the Rebels ground attack with 237 yards rushing with 4 touchdowns.

The Panthers under Lewis Sims find themselves in unfamiliar territory, entering the game at War Memorial Stadium looking for their first win of the season.

Biloxi (1-2) travels to Gautier (1-2) after posting an 18-10 win at Northshore, Louisiana last Friday. Gautier picked up its first win of the season running past Vancleave 35-18.

The Indians under head coach Bobby Hall rely on quarterback Tucker Thomas.  He has rushed for 200 yards and has 310 yards passing with 3 touchdowns.  Senior Tim Jones is Biloxi's leading receiver.  He has 12 catches for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Gators under coach Chris Peterson display a solid ground attack.  Deandre Torrey has powered his way for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He's netting 10.8 yards a carry and Sirshamus Smith has 151 yards rushing.

St. Martin has a home game hosting Crestview, Florida.  The Yellow Jackets stumbled at Picayune last week where the Maroon Tide rolled to an impressive 56-21 win.  St. Martin has loads of talent highlighted by senior quarterback Wayne Overman and wide receiver Kalem Reddix.

The West Harrison Hurricanes are coming off a bye week and entertain Pass Christian on the home turf.  The Pirates (1-2) are coming off a 22-7 loss to South Jones.  West Harrison under new head coach Tracy Rogers has posted a 1-1 record.

St. Patrick has taken its lumps.  Tonight the Fighting Irish under head coach Jim Bloomfield host Puckett (2-1).  Coach Bloomfield knew he it wouldn't be easy in trying to rebuild the St. Patrick football program.  The long-time Vancleave head coach left the Bulldogs to take over St. Patrick last season and he's looking for his first Fighting Irish victory.  Dating back to last season St. Patrick has lost 14 consecutive games.

Tune-in to WLOX ABC-CBS tonight at 10:15 for the Friday Night Football Showdown followed by the Post Game Show on the Bounce Channel and WLOX.com at 10:35.
