OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

Court papers revealed disturbing details about an Ocean Springs man arrested during an FBI raid on Temple Terrace.

Philip Joseph Spear, 59, is now charged with possession of child pornography. He made his first appearance in federal court in Gulfport Friday morning.

According to the criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, Spear is accused of possessing books, magazines, videotapes, and other materials that show images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Documents obtained by WLOX say Spear admitted to having a sexual interest in children since he was 12 years old.

The undercover online investigation started in May, leading to a multi-agency search of Spear's home on Thursday. Court papers say officers found video of men having sex with underage girls on computer equipment belonging to Spear.

The documents also pointed out that Spear's computer had a video file showing a girl, about 15 to 16 years old, performing oral sex on Spear, and that Spear currently has access to children under the age of 18.

Neighbors say they saw a woman and a young girl leaving the home in a car during the raid, but authorities wouldn't explain their relationship to Spear.

Spear reportedly admitted to searching for and downloading child porn, and says he has been doing it since he lived in the Philippines about five years ago.

Spear remains in the Stone County Jail, a bond hearing is scheduled for the following week.
