Milwaukee Brewers complete roster moves affecting the Biloxi Shuckers ' roster

BILOXI, MS (Biloxi Shuckers) - Right-handed pitcher Jorge Lopez is returning to Biloxi.  Last season the 23-year-old Lopez was the Brewers Minor League and Southern League Pitcher of the Year.  He posted 12 wins with the Biloxi Shuckers with a league-leading 1.10 WHIP, and finished with the second-best earned run average at 2.26 and third in strikeouts with 137.

This season in 17 games with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Lopez posted a 1-7 record with an ERA of 6.81.

Shuckers infielder Garrett Cooper has transferred from Biloxi to Colorado Springs. RHP Gage Smith was transferred from Biloxi to Brevard County, infielder Dustin DeMuth has been transferred from Brevard County to Biloxi and catcher Parker Berberet has been reinstated from the disable list and transferred from Biloxi to Colorado Springs.

The Shuckers will miss Cooper's big bat.  He led Biloxi with a .299 batting average,had 49 RBI and 22 doubles in 92 games.  The former Auburn Tiger recorded 24 multi-hit games and two four-hit performances.  He's now being promoted to Triple-A.

Smith appeared in 11 games with the Shuckers and posted a 2-1 record with a 2.87 ERA.

24-year-old DeMuth led the Manatees with a .287 batting average, six home runs and 43 RBI.

In 11 games with Biloxi, Berberet hit .125 with a home run, two RBI and two doubles.
