JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - An eight-vehicle wreck caused traffic delays on I-10 Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say the wreck occurred at 10:20 a.m. when a Ford F-150 rear ended a Ford Mustang in the left lane. The Mustang merged into the right lane, colliding with a Jeep Wrangler. A Chevrolet Silverado then rear-ended the F-150 and a Mini Cooper crashed into the back of the Silverado. A Dodge 3500 stopped in the left lane to avoid the accident and was rear-ended by a Ford Focus. The Focus was then rear-ended by a Nissan Juke.
No injuries were reported.
The accident occurred near mile marker 64 in Jackson County and had traffic blocked for an hour.
At one point, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said the eastbound lane was backed up all the way to Exit 50 in Ocean Springs.
The roadway is now clear.
