Eric Woolums loves baseball...so much so...his goal is to attend at least one game at every minor and major league baseball stadium.
On Monday the Wisconsin, native reached his 107th game. He was one of 2,439 fans in attendance at MGM Park.
"I live in Wisconsin, "stated Woolums. "That's where the Brewers play and I get a chance to see their Double-A team."
During his off-time, Woolums gets in as many games as possible and is getting closer to reaching his goal.
Woolums said, "There's 150 between all the affiliates and majors. I'm trying to get to all 150 and then I'll try to do also six games in the different rookie leagues. That type of thing. Appalachian League and that type of stuff."
Woolums didn't witness one the Shuckers better games as the home crowd didn't have much to cheer about in the Biscuits 9-2 win over Biloxi.
So what enticed Woolums to make his nationwide trek to eventually sit in every minor and major league baseball stadium to watch a game?
"I just enjoy the game, "said Woolums. "Wanted to get a chance to see all the different parks. All the local flavor that you get in all the different areas of the country."
So how does he like MGM Park here in Biloxi?
He said, "It's beautiful. They did a nice job."
Woolums is slated to be in attendance in Pensacola Wednesday night to watch a Blue Wahoos baseball game.
