BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Hiller Park in Biloxi is now home to a newly constructed playground.
A ribbon cutting ceremony took place Saturday, officially opening the playground to the public.
Councilwoman, Dixie Newman was in charge of renovations, and says the previous park was old and unsafe.
"It's beautiful, big, and new. But it's also gonna be, as much as possible, special needs accessible. Hopefully tomorrow we're going to be able to find out if we're going to get some wheelchair swings," said Newman.
The park was constructed at no charge. The IP Casino, Shaggy's and Walmart were some of the sponsors of the new playground.
