Former state representative from Ocean Springs passes away

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

A former state representative, Ocean Springs alderman and Jackson County supervisor has died. 

Alvin Endt, 82, passed away Monday at his home in Ocean Springs, according to an obituary with Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.

Endt served two terms as an alderman in Ocean Springs from 1965 to 1973. He was appointed Jackson County supervisor in 1982 and served as District 113 state representative from 1984 through 1999.

His obituary said Mr. Endt taught history at St. Martin High School for many years and is fondly remembered by his students.

Endt's visitation will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs on Thursday at 10 a.m.

    The scene was horrific: A Cessna 172 plane torn apart, pieces melted. Trees smashed from the impact.  And in the middle of it all was the body of the male pilot burned beyond recognition.

    The Gautier Police Department arrested two males Friday morning for Auto Burglary charges.  Police say two officers were called to Springridge Road at 4:37 am on a report of Auto Burglary.
