SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Tropical Depression Four formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico in the Bay of Campeche on Sunday evening.
T.D. Four had maximum winds of 35 miles per hour and was moving slowly westward.
Tropical storm warnings have been issued for parts of east Mexico.
T.D. Four is expected become a weak tropical storm early Monday. As a weak tropical storm, it is then expected to make landfall later Monday on Mexico's east coast within the state of Veracruz. If it becomes a tropical storm, it would be named Danielle.
Regardless of development, areas in eastern Mexico will face heavy tropical rains which could cause flash-flooding and mudslides through Tuesday.
