BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man Tuesday accused of shooting a teen at a Biloxi house party on May 29.
According to Biloxi police, Corbyn Treymane Cowan, 20, was arrested at a relative's house in Pascagoula without incident. Cowan is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. His bond was set at $50,000.
According to investigators, witnesses said Cowan went to his car and grabbed a gun after a fight broke out at a house party on Carmargue Ln. in the Le Bonne Terre neighborhood.
Police said multiple shots were fired and, a 16-year-old was hit one time in the leg. The victim was treated at an area hospital for the non-life threatening wound.
Biloxi police tell us they believe Cowan was the only person to discharge a firearm during the incident, and investigators are not looking for additional suspects.
