COPIAH COUNTY, MS - The body of one the men trapped in a gravel pit in Copiah County has been found.

According to a press release from Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, search and rescue crews found the man dead inside equipment buried at the Green Brothers gravel pit in Crystal Springs.

James "Dee" Hemphill and Emmit Shorter are the men involved in the accident, but officials are not yet releasing the name of the person recovered. Meanwhile, search and rescue teams are still continuing to look for the second man.

The gravel pit collapsed June 3 burying Hemphill and Shorter alive under tons of dirt. An excavator and a dump truck were also buried during the accident.
