BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport woman is facing an embezzlement charge in Biloxi. Police report Ankilah Nicole Ray, 22, was arrested after a local department store she worked at, reported some money was missing.

"During the course of her duties, she conducted several transactions over a period of time in which she electronically loaded US Currency in excess of $1,000 onto a prepaid debit card which is considered a felony in the State of Mississippi," said Biloxi Police Department investigator John Lamb.

Lamb said Ray was a cashier at the department store.

She was arrested Friday and taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where she was held on a $5,000 bond.
