Ocean Springs LIVE moved to Mary C. O'Keefe Center

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Due to the possibility of severe weather, the Ocean Springs LIVE Concert scheduled for June 4 will be held at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center at 4:30 p.m.

Organizers released the following statement to WLOX News Now:

"To everyone planning on attending Ocean Springs LIVE tonight in downtown Ocean Springs, MS, we have moved the performance venue to the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center in the Trent Lott Performing Arts Theatre at 1600 Government Street, Ocean Springs. Doors will open at 4:30pm. Entertainment begins at 5pm. Blackwater Brass will hit the stage at 5:30pm opening for Cyril Neville's Royal Southern Brotherhood.

Presently, very severe weather is predicted to hit the area this evening during our planned performance times. We regret any inconvenience to everyone excited to attend the show outdoors in Rosetti Park today, but we feel this is the best decision for assuring the safety of our audience, musicians and staff. This decision also guarantees that our performers will be able to provide a quality presentation to an audience in downtown Ocean Springs which is in keeping with Ocean Springs LIVE's mission.

Seating will be limited to 330 people at the theatre, admission will be completely free, but due to the limited number of seats available, we ask that everyone arrive when the doors open at 4:30, as seats will be first come first seated."

Beverage policy for the theatre: Guests may bring their own UNOPENED alcoholic beverage that will be opened, tagged and checked for them in the lobby. They may have access at any time. Tips go to the Rock U 2 Foundation as well.
Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale in the lobby for $1, all proceeds go to the Rock U2 Foundation.

Beverages may be consumed in the lobby at any time.

No beverages will be allowed inside the theater unless being consumed from a souvenir Mary C. O'Keefe cup, with the lid securely closed. The cup is $5 and will be available for sale in the lobby. All cup proceeds benefit the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center."
