JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County officials are releasing new information about a man found in an apartment complex pond nearly two weeks ago.

Lt. Jeff Smith says toxicology reports are pending, but a preliminary autopsy points to alcohol may have been a contributing factor in Alexander Martinez's drowning.

Martinez, who was last seen on May 22 around 4 p.m., was living at the complex with a landscaping crew. His body was found around noon the following day.
