JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The man accused of threatening a DMR Marine Patrol officer on social media has been arrested.
A Jackson County Justice Court judge issued an arrest warrant for Joey Jason Holliman on Thursday. He was arrested Thursday night at his home in McHenry.
Holliman is charged with cyberstalking after allegedly using Facebook to threaten an officer who ticketed him for traffic violations. His bond was set at $2,500.
DMR spokeswoman Melissa Scallan said Officer Michael Strickland pulled Holliman over Wednesday and issued him two misdemeanor citations for careless driving and no proof of insurance.
Scallan said Holliman posted the threatening message on Strickland's Facebook timeline shortly after the traffic stop.
Marine Patrol Chief Keith Davis said law enforcement received several tips that led investigators to Holliman.
