The Biloxi Shuckers long road trip came to an end Thursday night. Biloxi battled the BayBears in Mobile in a doubleheader and split the two seven inning games.
The Shuckers play three games at MGM Park beginning 7:10 p.m. Friday.
On Thursday Mobile popped Biloxi 7-2 in game one. Adrian Houser (L, 2-5) suffered the loss. He gave up 5 runs on 10 hits with 3 strikeouts.
Stephen Peterson relieved Houser and the BayBears plated two runs on 4 hits.
Javier Betancourt led the Shuckers at the plate going 2 for 3 with a two-run home run in the second inning off winning pitcher Yoan Lopez (W, 4-3).
The Shuckers dominated game two 6-0. Biloxi's Garrett Cooper had 2 hits in 4 trips to the plate with one RBI.
Victor Roache went 2-for-3 with one RBI and catcher Rene Garcia also had 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
Javier Salas (W, 3-1) went 5.2 innings gave no runs on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts.
Daniel Tillman pitched 1.1 innings. Mobile was able to get only one hit off Tillman.
The Shuckers will finally play a home game after 24 days hosting Mobile 7:10 p.m. Friday.
