BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The Biloxi Fire Department is field testing a new fire suppression additive called F-500.
Working in combination with water, the chemical fights fires more quickly and efficiently.
Firefighters staged a demonstration in the parking lot of the old Mercy Cross High School on Wednesday, where they set fire to two piles of wood pallets and old tires. One pile was attacked with straight water, and the other with water plus the F-500.
The difference was impressive.
Tonight on WLOX News Now, Steve Phillips has the results of the powerful tests, and what they could mean for BFD.
