BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - If your mouth salivates thinking of the taste of summer tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and other homegrown vegetables, then Thursday Biloxi has just the celebration for you. The Downtown Biloxi Farmers Market Festival series begins. The festival is the first of five planned for this year.
Not only will you find homegrown produce on festival days, but also entertainment and giveaways. The first festival includes grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch, as well as a celebration of cake. Cake celebrations include cake decorating demonstrations, cake walks, and cupcake decorating for the kids.
Musician Ty Taylor promises to entertain those who come out to Thursday's Festival. The other Farmers Market Festivals take place in June, July, September and October.
The Biloxi Farmers Market is located under the I-110 corner of Howard & Hopkins. The market takes place regularly every Tuesday and Thursday.
